Castle Rocks!

Every other weekend I travel to an out of town destination to climb as a way to take full advantage of the numerous crags that are geographically close to Salt Lake City. I try to live my life as full as possible, ensuring I don’t get too burned out, as I never know when it might be time for me to move from wherever I am leaving.

Two weekends ago the crew headed up to Castle Rocks and although the trip was bizarre in so many different ways (we seemed to climb little and drink lots), if anything it was great to get outside and enjoy the sun.

On the drive down with Shaft.

Triznut working a problem.

dB crushing a problem he worked that day.

BW loving anything that is somewhat slabby.

Shaft working an aesthetic problem.

He he… I love this picture captured by Shaft.

The second night of camping we caught up with Severhead, ShutUp and their rowdy crew.

As I mentioned, the trip was atypical in so many ways. After I got scared off of a run out 5.9, we all cruised a neighboring 5.7. I was the last one up and so cleaned the route, yet somehow managed to get our rope stuck resulting in us leaving this note. The next morning we showed up and found our rope nicely coiled with the note still attached. Awesome.

Heck yes. Naf rules. I love to hang out at the dance hall there.

    Seriously, there's a dance hall.

Well WasatchGirl, it's probable that I got the rope stuck by carelessly introducing twists whilst pulling.

Fun weekend, I especially appreciate that part of Idaho - where the air is clean and the animals are healthy. Plus, driving through Naf is always a good time.
